Utilities Middle East featured WaHa in its WETEX 2025 coverage, published September 16, 2025. The article highlights Project DROP, an initiative led by TAQA (Abu Dhabi National Energy Company) to support agriculture in the UAE. Following an external evaluation of more than 140 atmospheric water generation technologies, WaHa was selected as the sole AWG technology for the project.
The article also reports on WaHa’s progress in the UAE: after more than a year of pilot operation at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi, WaHa units are moving to Phase 3 deployment at the Silal Innovation Oasis.
At the center of this work is the WaHa Vaporator®, which produces pure water and inexpensive dry air, even in extremely dry conditions. The article frames distributed atmospheric water generation as a complement to centralized desalination, adding resilience and flexibility where large plants cannot reach.
