On-site atmospheric water generation for remote workforce camps across West Texas and New Mexico.
FORT COLLINS, Colo., June 10, 2026 — Water Harvesting Inc. (WaHa) today named Ibyma its exclusive distributor for the Permian Basin, with an initial focus on water supply for remote workforce camps. Under the agreement, Ibyma will sell, install, and support WaHa systems throughout the Texas and New Mexico portions of the basin.
Workforce camps house the crews who keep Permian operations running, and many are far from reliable water infrastructure. Water for drinking, cooking, and washing often arrives by truck, over long distances, at real cost and with real logistics risk. WaHa offers a different approach: make the water where it is needed. The WaHa Vaporator® pulls pure water from the air and produces inexpensive dry air from a single energy input, so a camp can generate its own water on-site instead of waiting for the next delivery.
The platform is built for hard conditions. It works in very dry air, down to its rated mixing ratio of 1.5 to 2 grams per kilogram, so it performs in the arid heat the Permian is known for. WaHa has run its systems in demanding field environments and on production-design machines, giving operators confidence that the technology holds up outside the lab.
Ibyma brings a local presence and direct relationships with operators and camp providers across the basin. That combination, of WaHa’s technology and Ibyma’s reach, is designed to deliver reliable on-site water to the field faster.
“Workers in the Permian Basin endure extreme heat, long shifts, remote locations, hazardous conditions, and physically demanding labor,” said Frank Ramirez, CEO of WaHa. “We know that clean, abundant drinking water is essential to their health, and that relying on trucked-in water poses a risk. The WaHa Vaporator® mitigates that risk, enabling a camp to produce its own pure water on-site, day after day, even in the scorching dry heat. Ibyma knows these operators, understands our solution, and together we can get it to the field.”
“At Ibyma, we have studied atmospheric water generation for many years. The fundamental limitation was always the same: traditional AWG systems cannot generate water in places with low relative humidity, which is exactly where most of the world’s water stress is concentrated. WaHa’s technology addresses that. For the Permian Basin, that means a consistent daily volume of water at consistent quality, on-site, at man camps, drilling sites, compression stations, tank batteries, and produced water facilities, where bottled water is expensive and delivery is unreliable. That is the problem we can now solve,” said Juan Pablo Rivero of Ibyma.
Ibyma is taking inquiries from Permian operators and workforce-camp providers now.
